G. Richard Gray, President
G. Richard Gray, President of Gray & Associates, LLC, has been involved with the management and disposition of loan and REO portfolios in both the legal and business arenas. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Baltimore Law School, Mr. Gray was a real estate attorney specializing in contractual negotiations, workout and litigation prior to joining Financial Conservators, Inc. (FCI) in 1987. As President of FCI, he directed the management and disposition of billions of dollars of loan and REO asset portfolios for the RTC, the FDIC, the Maryland Deposit Insurance Fund Corporation (MDIF), financial institutions, as well as numerous assignments for private clients.
Mr. Gray is a recipient of the Governor’s Salute to Excellence in recognition of his service in resolving the Maryland thrift crisis through his work with the MDIF. Additionally, Mr. Gray served as President of BSC Direct, Inc., the nation’s largest privately held lease end portfolio management company. Founded in 1997 by Mr. Gray and two partners, the firm grew rapidly and managed leased portfolios encompassing in excess of 150,000 vehicles until the firm was sold in 2001 to JM Family Enterprises.
